Cryokinesis is the ability to manipulate or create ice. This power has a multitude of uses ranging from defensive walls and armor to offensive weapon creation and ice beams. this is all for later though, first, let’s start with some of the basics.
Like any superpower, there are a few basic ways for these superpowers to manifest themselves within a hero or villain. The first is that the individual who receives the power may have mutated DNA. This can be a natural form of evolution or the result of exposure to a dangerous chemical. The second is magic. The magic can be specifically focused on ice or it can be a simple spell in the casters arsenal.

Now let’s move onto the fun part, what you can do once you have ice powers. Like I was talking about before you can breakdown your powers into a defensive and an offensive set. Let’s talk about those now.
For offense, you’ll have your standard ice beams. These are usually blue or white and will begin to rapidly freeze whatever they come in contact. Ice powers will often allow for the creation of constructs that can take many shapes that range from swords to golems.
For defense, the user can often generate a large wall of ice that they can use to keep themselves and others safe. The use of the construct idea can be used to create shields and armor for the superpowered individual.

The last part that you have to talk about when you talk about superpowers is the weakness that the power has. Cryokinesis has a number of potential weaknesses, so let’s break them down. The first is heat if sufficient heat is created than the cryokinetic maybe overwhelmed by heat and unable to use their power. The second is a lack of water, this is not as big a deal for all characters but it can be a hindrance to some.
